Changes At The Star Deck Site!

Hello & welcome back!

If this is your first time visiting here at The Star Deck's portal to the World Wide Web, welcome.  The site has been undergoing some changes in the Albums & Gallery pages, the new format will mean less navigating of the web site to get to the various Photo Galleries.  The new gallery format also allows for a full sized image display to be viewed in a seperate browser window.  I hope it works out better for all of the visitors to the Star Deck than the prievious versions of the galleries.

I am working on getting the othe pages updated and running regular features also.  The DSO of The Week page is pretty much up & running now with weekly updates of a new DSO for each week.  If you are new to the hobby of amatuer astronomy you might give the DSO  of The Week Page a visit as most of the objects I feature for the week are objects that can be viewed with a modest set of binoculars or smaller telescope set up.  Look for some upcoming articles and information on equipment suited for the beginning astronomer both for ease of use and the budget minded beginner.

Keep checking back for more updates, articles, and features added to the Star Deck Observatory site.  Some form of visitor input and contributions to the site is in the works.  The Reviews & Reports; the Tips n' Tricks; and the Modifications & Maintanance pages will all be open to contributions from visitors to be considered for publication on the site.  Look to those page in the near future for the rules, terms, & conditions of submitting an article or review to be considered for publication.
